02 / A note from the studio

One more
pass.

A little more life in every detail.

I’m usually the one asking for another pass.

When Dropzone had four bosses, I wanted ten. Then I wanted to get into the weapons, the supply ships, the way enemies moved. Even the radar. I want a world to feel like there’s always something worth noticing, something you want to try.

I get caught up in those details because they change how a game feels in your hands. A boss winding up gives you a split second to make a choice. A ship banking makes a turn feel good. That’s what I want every animation to bring to the game.

My curiosity goes in a few directions. Sometimes it’s flying through a canyon. Sometimes it’s untangling a puzzle, managing a busy sky, or building a company. FlexiMax gives those ideas a place to grow, each with a personality of its own.

You’re giving a game a piece of your day. I want it to give you something back: the satisfaction of figuring it out, the relief of a narrow escape, a moment you want to show someone.

And I’d like to hear what it felt like on your side. The bit you loved. The bit that annoyed you. The tiny thing you noticed. That’s a conversation I want this studio to have.
